Weekend in Brighton

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. I hope you are all doing well and are having a great week so far. Over the bank holiday weekend I went on a little tip to Brighton with my boyfriend and took so many photos during my adventure. So that's why I am bringing you this post today to show you all the amazing things I did while I was away. It was the first time we had both been to Brighton so we did all the touristy things and enjoyed the sunshine on the beach. We were lucky enough to have great weather which made the trip even better and meant we could enjoy the beach more. With all that said I think it is time to show you all the amazing photos I took. Enjoy...

Day 1: Friday 25th May
Our first day was spent travelling and settling in. However, after we had unpacked and freshened up we headed out to explore Brighton for the first time. We stayed in the Holiday Inn right on the seafront so we were right in the centre of everything and could head to the beach whenever we wanted. It was around 3:30pm by the time we headed out so we walked down to the beach and along to the pier to check that out. If you don't know, the Brighton Pier is very popular and has two arcades and some fairground rides on it. We had a look around and sussed out which rides we would want to go on but decided we would go on them another day instead as it was getting late. We then headed back to the beach and enjoyed the weather for a little bit before heading to find somewhere to eat. We ended up going to a little pizza place next to our hotel for something to eat. After dinner we were tired from all the travelling so headed back to the room to chill out before going to bed.

Day 2: Saturday 26th May
On our second day in Brighton we got up nice and early to have breakfast before heading out into Brighton and enjoying the beautiful weather. We were lucky enough to have 26 degree sunshine all day. As we knew it was going to be really hot we decided to go on the British Airways i360 in the morning. If you don't know, it is the tall machine with the dome on that moves up and down to give you a 360 degree view of Brighton. I would definitely recommend having a go on it simply for the amazing views of Brighton. After we were back on the ground we had another walk to the pier to have some fun on the rides. As they were quite expensive we decided to only go on a couple so we chose the Horror Hotel and the Walters. By this time it was time for lunch so we headed further down the beach to find someone to eat. We came across a little café and had a jacket potato for lunch. After we had filled up we decided to carry on walking along the beach all the way to the Brighton Marina. Just before we got there we found an Asda so brought ourselves an ice cream and sat on the beach. After chilling out for a while we decided to head back to our hotel to start getting ready for dinner. It must have been about a 3 mile walk back so we were super tired and worn out by the time we got there. For dinner we headed to Pizza Express which meant we got to explore the town a little bit on the way there. After we had filled our boots we had a lovely evening stroll along the beach in the opposite direction to earlier that day and enjoyed the sunset before heading back to bed.

Day 3: Sunday 27th May
On our third (and last full) day we had lovely sunny weather again. Today we decided to explore the Brighton town and shops. First we headed to The Lanes before coming across the Brighton Dome and Royal Pavilion. It was situated in a beautiful little garden area, perfect for a picnic. After spending the morning looking in all the little shops and purchasing a few things we decided it was time for lunch. As we were close we headed back to the same place as the day before. This time I just had a plate of chips as I had filled up on chocolate (oops!) on the way around The Lanes. After we had filled up on lunch we decided there wasn't much more to do so we headed down to the beach and enjoyed the scorching sunshine for a few hours. On the way back to hotel we stopped of at the pier again and had a go on a roller-coaster ride before heading back to get ready for dinner. For dinner we headed back into the town and stopped at Ask Italian for another pizza! We then headed back down to the beach after dinner to enjoy the stunning sunset before heading back to bed.

Day 4: Monday 28th May
As Monday was our last morning in Brighton we had a lovely stroll along the beach before checking out and heading back home.

So that's all the photos and things I did on my little trip to Brighton over the bank holiday weekend. I had a lovely time and it was such a lovely place to visit in the sunshine.
