Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. I hope you are all doing well and looking forward to the weekend ahead. If you read my previous post: Holiday Look Book 2018 then you will be aware that I went on holiday to Morocco. As I have already showed you all the outfits I wore during my holiday I thought I would create a post showing you all the amazing photos I took on the holiday as well. Before we get into the photos I will tell you a little bit about where I stayed and what I did during my trip.
On Thursday 12th July 2018 I headed over to Gatwick Airport for my flight (with Thompsons) to Agadir, Morocco. The flight took us 3hrs 45mins and there was no time difference at all on arrival. When we arrived in Morocco we took a 30min coach journey over to the coast where our hotel was located. We stayed in a 4 star hotel called: Hotel Rui Tikida Dunas. It is located right on the coast of Agadir and is a 10/15min walk from the town where they have lots of shops and restaurants. It is also about a 10min drive away from the Marina where there is a little fair and the harbour. However, we never visited it as we had everything we needed in our complex.
Me and my boyfriend stayed in room 5111 situated right opposite the beach. The complex has 3 large swimming pools and an indoor pool, a buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner (it is an all inclusive hotel) but there are options to book into the Chinese and Moroccan restaurant once throughout your stay. However, we only used the buffet restaurant but found the food was always the same so bare that in mind if you want to stay there. However, it was fine for the week we were there for. If we stayed any longer we would have ventured out into the town for food instead. Like any all inclusive hotel the evening entertainment was aimed more towards children but some of the acts were pretty good. We stayed to watch a couple of the shows and spent the rest of the evenings either walking along the beach or relaxing and socialising in the bars. However, one of the nights we headed out with another couple we met to see what the shops were like. Like many countries they make their money by selling designer dupes.
During the daytime we spent the week relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sun. We didn't have great weather, it was extremely cloudy most of the time but it was still warm and relaxing. However, on Wednesday we headed out for a boat trip (organised by TUI) which was a 10 min drive from our hotel. When we were there we sailed out and saw so many fishing boats working hard to collect fish all day. We were told that if the men didn't catch enough fish they would have to stay out on the boat all day until they had enough to bring back. It really made me realise how hard some people have to work to live. After passing the boats it was our time to catch fish. It was so fun having a go ourselves as whatever we caught they cooked up and served us for lunch. It turned into a little competition too. I was a pro and caught 5 fish! I was very proud as I have never fished before. After lunch it was time to sail around the coast a little where we stopped for a swim in the ocean. I have to say it was very cold! After our swim it was time to head back to the harbour and then time to head back to the hotel. When we arrived back at the hotel I headed onto the beach to get two henna tattoos done (as you will see in the pictures below). This holiday was all about chilling out and relaxing but I do wish we did a few more touristy things. However, I do want to head back to Morocco to visit Marrakech instead to see all the amazing cultural things they have to offer.
So I think that is all you need to know about my trip to Morocco, I will have my overall opinion of the holiday at the end of the post. For now all you have to do is sit back and enjoy scrolling through the many photos I took on my trip. Enjoy...
So that's all the photos I took during my trip to Morocco (I know, there was a lot). Now what did I think about the holiday and hotel overall...
I would defiantly recommend the RUI Tikida Dunas hotel if you are looking at heading to Morocco as it has an amazing location, staff and facility's. Just as long as you don't mind having the same sorts of foods everyday. The hotel is a great price for what you get and there are quite a lot of trips and places to visit while you are there. However, if you are looking at going to this hotel or even Agadir in general I would recommend going at the end or August - end of October as we were told by one of the locals that it is the time they get the hottest weather. Like I said before it was very cloudy and only about 26/27 when we were there so bare that in mind when you look at the dates. Overall, I had a great holiday and would definitely recommend it to anyone that is thinking about going. If you have any questions about the hotel or my holiday then feel free to ask them in the comment section below.
Make sure you come back to my blog every Wednesday for outfit styling posts and every Friday for more fashion related topics. I hope you liked this post and enjoy the rest of your day. I hope to see you back here again soon...
